Responsibilities
- Perform milking procedures efficiently and hygienically according to farm standards
- Prepare cows for milking (cleaning, checking for mastitis, attaching milking units)
- Monitor milk quality and report abnormalities (e.g., color, texture, udder issues)
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain all milking equipment and parlors after each session
- Assist in feeding, moving, and caring for cows when required
- Observe and report any signs of illness, injury, or unusual behavior among cows
- Follow farm safety, hygiene, and animal welfare policies at all times
- Work collaboratively with the team across all shifts to ensure smooth operations
Requirements
- Previous experience in dairy milking preferred, but not mandatory (training provided)
- Basic knowledge of animal handling and farm hygiene
- Physically fit and willing to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Responsible, punctual, and a strong team player
- Commitment to maintaining high-quality milk standards and animal welfare
